Our Genuine Bamboo Flutes are made in the traditional manner. Our Bamboo is hand harvested, and only the finest pieces are used for flute creation. Crafted right here in Eugene Oregon by Shaloma, each flute has unique character.

For Feng Shui practitioners, we offer several styles of feng shui specific flutes...most are larger than our musical flutes, and containing many more nodes.

	Hand sorting the Bamboo after harvesting - Pieces are sorted by Root Base and nodes for Feng Shui. This sorting process is refined again after curing.
	The roots are especially important for feng shui and shakuhachi flutes. This picture shows partially sanded and raw roots.
	Each piece of Bamboo is cut and hand sanded. Hand sanding takes time, but results in a much finer flute!

Specialty Root Based Feng Shui Flutes require extra care, as the root base must be harvested from below ground level.

Each piece of Bamboo is cured, taking from 2 to 6 months. Finally, the flutes are hand crafted and generously oiled, to help prevent cracking.
